Work continues in Lake County as we are halfway through our first rebuild. This home is being built on the Middletown Rancheria. What a privilege it is to be invited on to tribal property to build.
We have been so blessed to have some awesome builders working with us on this project. Monte, Kim and Sophie Brenneman returned to Hope City to kick off the build. Monte is a gifted carpenter and while fighting the rain got the home framed and shingled in 16 working days. Monte also had the opportunity to mentor a few young men from the Rancheria, Justin, Donavon and Landon.
With Monte and Kim needing to be back in Alabama we were very blessed to have a team come up and serve that we have worked with in the past. First United Methodist of Santa Rosa. Love this team, such an attitude of gratitude. Thanks Paul, Diane, Dave and Brian. 1st UMC has done a terrific job picking up where Monte left off. The porch is completed, the electric is in, as well as windows, insulation, some drywall and siding.
It is so inspiring to see so many being a part of a project that helps families in need. Thank you all for your giving spirit as you answer God's calling.
We also want to say a thank you to our partner churches and corporate sponsor who continue to work with us as we prepare to receive volunteers in March. Thank you Kelseyville Lumber for the finest material we have ever seen. The BoDean Company, The Oil Stop and Hardesters Market for your financial gifts that help us Rebuild Homes, and Restore Lives.
If you would like to come and be apart of the building experience at Hope City give us a call 877-909-HOPE or email, Stacy@hcrn.info.
Serving Him, that we may serve others,
Kevin
